I started playing squash two years ago and I was really enthusiastic about quickly improving and meeting other people who didn't mind playing long games, with minimal water breaks, just for the fun of it. I couldn't afford to join a club and initial searches of the internet suggested this was the only way. So it was with great relief that I came across SquashMatch which not only fulfilled all my criteria but also had a really handsome website, plenty of dedicated players of varying ability and organisers who seemed to genuinely care about the direction it was going.

I have really enjoyed my first season of SquashMatch. I think it's very well organised and so easy to use. The website is very user friendly and the overall experience has been great. It's nice to meet other people that enjoy playing squash and everybody is kind and friendly. It's clear that SquashMatch was founded on a true love and passion for the game and a joy to be a part of it.

SquashMatch is a well run club, by a couple of guys who are a really friendly and made me feel welcome right from the start, even though I'd never played before. There's players of all levels and they're a nice bunch of people, and its competitive enough without being taken too seriously. How often you play is up to you, which is good if you can't commit every week. The website is easy to use, and enables you to contact other players to arrange games in your own time, also good if you want to check out other people's form! So glad I took this sport up, I'm loving it!

When my colleague and squash partner moved to Barcelona late 2008 I started looking through Gumtree ads in search of one or more new squash partners. That's how I met Andre, although had I happened to come across him in the Tottenham Leisure centre, he would have roped me in to joining the Thursday squash nights anyway!
In January 2009 when I first joined what was then just an open squash night, I had no idea that it would develop into a well-organised and web-based squash league and that I would make new friends at the same time. I was also the only girl for a while, but very well received.
On the note of being female... I haven't been playing for a few months now as I'm pregnant and I have really missed playing and hanging out with fellow squash players on Thursday nights as well as meeting new and 'old' players in league games!

I have been with SquashMatch for almost a year and have enjoyed it greatly. The leagues are a great way to challenge yourself and organising matches is easy enough as the website is very easy to use. The weekly club night is ideal for improving your game, especially for beginners like myself, and meeting other players in a social and friendly way. The organisation of SquashMatch is quite good too and the introduction of tournaments should make it even more enjoyable and social.
